This half term, the Year 4 children have enjoyed learning how to order food and drink in a café, and to ask for the menu and the bill. They created their own role plays in groups, taking turns at being the waiter and customers. They had great fun and can speak confidently and clearly. As a special reward, the children were treated to some pastries from Chef Nigel. Everyone asked Madame Schwartz in French for one : ‘Je peux avoir (un croissant) s’il vous plaît?’ and of course they said ‘merci’! Mmm, c’était déliciieux!
