Twinkle Toes and Triumphs: Woodford Green Prep's Hilarious Red Nose Day!

Red Nose Day at Woodford Green Prep is always a highlight of the school year, and this year was no exception! We know the power of laughter can bring us all together, and our fantastic staff certainly delivered a hilarious assembly that had everyone in stitches.

This year's theme was "Twinkle Toes for Red Nose," a truly unique and entertaining spectacle. Twelve brave members of our staff took to the stage, showcasing their finest (and most questionable!) footwear in a dazzling dance display. The catch? Only their feet were visible!

The challenge was on! Our eagle-eyed pupils had to guess which staff member was behind each pair of dancing shoes. From glittery trainers to fluffy slippers, the variety of footwear was truly a sight to behold. The suspense was palpable as our House Captains took on the crucial task of identifying the mystery dancers.

The competition was fierce, with each House vying for the top spot. But in the end, there could only be one winner! A huge congratulations to the Greeks, who demonstrated their exceptional powers of observation and deduction, correctly identifying a remarkable 9 out of 12 staff members. Close behind were the Trojans with 8 correct guesses, and the Romans put in a valiant effort, securing a respectable 7.

A special shout-out must go to the winning staff members, Mrs Bhatia and Mrs Bhatnagar, whose incredible Bollywood dance was perfectly rehearsed and in sync, leaving the audience mesmerised! Their dedication and performance were truly outstanding.

The laughter and cheers that filled the hall were a testament to the incredible effort put in by our staff. Their willingness to embrace the silly and put on such a memorable show truly embodies the spirit of Red Nose Day.

More importantly, though, this fun-filled event helped raise vital funds for Comic Relief. Every penny raised will go towards supporting those in need, both in the UK and around the world. So, a massive thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this Red Nose Day such a resounding success.
