On Your Marks, Get Set, Go!: Excitement and Triumph at the 2024 Swimming Gala

Posted on: 16th May 2024

Over 120 children, both excited and nervous, gathered at the iconic London Aquatics Centre for the much-anticipated 2024 Swimming Gala. The event promised a day full of energy, competition, and fun.

On the whistle, the water erupted with motion and cheers of encouragement came from the stands. Each race was a testament to the participants' effort and competitive spirit. Winners proudly received wristbands, and finalists were awarded medals for their achievements.

Our primary aim with the swimming gala is to strike a balance between participation and competition. We believe that fostering healthy competition helps build character and resilience in our young athletes. Impressively, every child from Year 5 and Year 6 participated. Additionally, we held invitational races for 28 budding swimmers from Year 3 and Year 4, showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of our younger pupils.

We are thrilled to congratulate our 2024 Swimming Gala Champions, who are pictured here with Scarlett Mew Jensen, a remarkable athlete who is part of the 2024 Olympic diving squad! Scarlett's presence was an inspiration to all our ambitious young athletes, and we wish her the very best at the upcoming Olympics. She is truly an inspiring role model, demonstrating where dedication and hard work can lead.
