Enter the court, goggles go on, racket in hand and then close the door as the match is about to begin. If you have ever experienced playing squash you will know this feeling. The pupils in years 3-6 at WGPS all participate in squash at the Connaught Club as part of their games sessions. Hand-eye coordination, outwitting opponents, critical thinking and decision making are some of the many skills developed in squash. Watching the pupils grow in confidence and competence is something I really enjoy and it also aids in the fulfilment in the pupils. They also see the great progress they make which helps motivate them to play more.
