Tooled Up Tips: Critical Research Insights for Busy, Loving Parents

In this talk, Dr Kathy Weston, the Founder of Tooled Up Education will share some of the most insightful tips from the world of research that can make a tangible difference within family life. What little things can we do at home to boost children's resilience, academic success and social confidence? How can we optimally manage common challenges such as reducing anxiety, managing screen time, reducing negative self-talk and move them towards resilient thinking habits. How can we empower them so that they are ready to take on the world and the challenges that will inevitably come? There will be plenty of opportunities to ask about all aspects of parenting and family life at this event so come armed with questions!

Sleep: The Building Blocks of Health, Happiness and Wellbeing

Join us for an enlightening session with Polly Revaliente, one of the co-founders of The Sleep Project, a passionate child sleep expert with over 10 years of experience, and European Director of the APSC (Association of Professional Sleep Consultants). Polly is dedicated to making the health and wellness benefits of quality sleep a reality for all children. Approximately half of all children will experience sleep problems at some point, and globally, there has been a consistent, rapid decline in sleep duration among children and adolescents over the last century, with an average loss of one hour of sleep. Adequate sleep is crucial for development, physical and mental health, and academic achievement. The evidence suggests that this reduction in sleep duration is linked to increased anxiety, depression, suicide, impaired immune functions, and rising obesity levels worldwide. Discover how to change your family's relationship with sleep and realise the benefits of great sleep.
