This term Year 4 has been looking at the Aztec civilisation, from the myths surrounding the establishment of their society to their demise with the arrival of Spanish conquistadors.  From the many topics covered, Year 4 were captivated by the diet of the Aztecs and the ingenious farming methods they adopted in overcoming difficult terrain and climate.  

The food of the Aztecs became the inspiration for Year 4 study in food technology, to design a healthy and portable snack that may satisfy a hungry tummy between meals.  Our thanks to Chefs Dave and Mike for their useful Mexican food demonstration to support ideas when creating snack designs.  Once designs are finalised, Year 4 will consider the packaging, marketing and further development of their product.  Watch out Mr Cadbury, Year 4 are about to launch a healthy range of fast snacks!
