In Year 5, the children have been learning how to use a programming language. We have been using Scratch, a free web-based program, that allows the children to learn how to code using blocks. They are making chase games, learning how to make a character move, use variables, create scoring and change levels. The possibilities are endless with Scratch and the children are really excited about replicating some of their favourite games.
